Position: Microsoft Dynamics NAV Consultant

Roles:

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Consultant adapts the NAV product to improve business efficiency and productivity as required by the client.

Working closely with the client, he/she examines existing business models and the flow of data in the business. He/she discusses his/her findings with the client, and then designs and proposes an appropriate improved solution in the form of new development or product configuration to maximize the potential of the software being implemented. NAV product knowledge, financial experience, working experience with business process design is a must. Any professional Associations (C.A., CGA, CMA) is a plus.

In addition, the NAV Consultant provides product functionality expertise to the client. He/she reports to the Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed specifications of the proposed solution;
  • Responsible for the Analysis document deliverable;
  • Works with SCI's NAV development team;
  • Perform product configuration;
  • Perform product testing;
  • May assist the client during testing, as well as, testing by end-users;
  • Responsible for evaluating the effort required for product migration;
  • Responsible for quality delivery of application;
  • Trains the end-users

Essential Skills:

  • Experience on the implementation of ERP products, particularly Navision;
  • Knowledge on one of the following areas: Finance, Distribution or Manufacturing;
  • Very business focused;
  • Very good presentation and communication skills (English and French);
  • Leadership and decision taking capabilities;
  • Experience in IT Consulting

Other Skills:

  • Familiar with implementation methodologies;
  • Ability to perform with minimal guidelines;
  • Ability to coordinate work among various implementation resources;
  • Ability to translate client needs into product functionalities;
  • Ability to identify project risks and report them to Management;
  • Quick learning ability and adapts quickly to changing environments
